Daniel Hetherington is a specialist financial adviser with a strong background in problem-solving and complex systems. After graduating with an Honours degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, he spent several years running his own consultancy and working on major infrastructure projects, including Heathrow Terminal 5 and the Channel Tunnel.
In 2008, Dan moved into financial services, where he found a natural fit for his analytical approach and desire to help people make confident and informed decisions. He later established Herald Wealth Management in 2012, which is now a Senior Partner Practice of St. James's Place.
Daniel specialises in advising medical professionals – including GPs, dentists, and consultants – with a deep understanding of the NHS Pension Scheme. He regularly delivers seminars across the UK for members of the medical profession, helping them to better understand their pensions.
He also provides guidance across all areas of financial planning, such as investments, pensions, tax, and protection, supporting clients to make informed and confident choices tailored to individual goals.
A strong believer in the power of building robust relationships, Dan takes time to understand each client’s situation, allowing him to build bespoke financial plans that are practical, clear, and aligned with long-term objectives, but that can adapt as lives and priorities change.
Outside of work, Dan enjoys competitive golf, running, and skiing.
The value of an investment with St. James's Place will be directly linked to the performance of the funds selected and may fall as well as rise. You may get back less than the amount invested.
